In general science, we only have to cover the basic knowledge about human physiology for this the second book is good. The other book i am studying for the whole syllabus of general science is the "gale encyclopedia of science" Its pretty good.
Exactly that is why I have recommended firdous as we do not need to study medical books. Its a summary book.
