Suicides, murders, physical abuse and divorce rates in Pakistan are making new records!

Why can't our producers make dramas and movies on moral lessons, justice, truth, honesty, family values, islamic teachings, patriotism, Pakistani culture etc? When media daily give you a dose that hero is one who dies for the sake of love then such incidents would definetly happen....

Social media has connected people sitting miles away but disconnected those sitting in same home! Parents dont have time to teach their children the realities and purpose of life! Teachers are no more the spiritual parents now but just course instructors who have no interest in well being of children's life! We are making such vulgar movies to compete India that no noble person can sit with family to watch them. Whole society is moving towards blind end! The more outspoken a kid is, the more confident he is considered. Future looks scary! Who will bring this system on right track...... How will we eradicate these social diseases......?
Totally agreed.

You say they are immature on one hand and then you advocate that they should be able to spend their life with whomever they want on the other hand. How can immature kids decide who should they spend their whole life with? Though this can happen if they're independent financially; it is logical then. Besides, one has to be a fool to think of marriage and love in their matric--that's the time when you should have studies and enjoyment on your mind only! LOL
Certainly true.

It's the sole duty of parents to act as a watchdog for their children. The children shouldn't be allowed to sleep late at night and sit for a long time in front of TV and use internet without any reason and supervision especially in the very age of growing. The most awful thing is the "night packages" which have made it easier for teenagers to indulge in unIslamic and bad activities. To me, both parents and their children are responsible. Here, we have also seen a security lapse as well because the girl had easily taken the gun of her father to school. It has two meanings: Whether the security of the school was sleeping or they have agreed on terms with that girl for money. While the parents had rightly forbid them. How could they predict that the boy would be able to get a good job, become a good person or not in years to come ? Asking for a marriage so early is senseless. This so called love is nothing more than a lusty time pass. Contrary to it, if for the sake of argument let's say if both truly love each other, then they should have wait to get mature, stand on their feet and then send a proposal in a decent way. It's very sad to read such horrible news. How could you say that the children should have a liberty to spend their lives as per their desire ? I disagree with you. If this will start happening, I wonder each teenager would never become a civilized person and nation as whole will suffer. The parents reserve the right to impose their decisions on their children because whatsoever they do, they do for the betterment and uprightness of children. The children are supposed to obey them as well except if they stop them to bow before Almighty ALLAH.

I second what daisy has said. Now, the story of the dramas is so pathetic and even below the minimum standards of ethics. By showing the new ways of telling lies and deceiving the parents if they don't agree on terms as per the wish, teenagers and even our age group is distracting from the right path. Having said that, media is considered the fourth pillar of the state but even then it has forgotten its key responsibility to broadcast the right thing by keeping the ethical standards generally and Islamic teachings particularly. I appreciate the decision of PEMRA not to telecast anti-Pakistani speeches of Altaf Hussain at the same time it's the dire need of the hour that PEMRA should ponder over what is being shown on dramas and Lollywood's vulgarity to revive Pakistan's film industry.

The parents shouldn't be too lenient and strict concurrently. They should keep record of the activities of their children. I believe that to whom the much is given, the much is expected. Being a Muslim and citizen of an Islamic Republic we have dual responsibilities. We should practice the teachings of Islam in true letter and spirit to cure this disease.

Regards.
