INTRODUCTION:
Take up the opportunity or lost the opportunity is similar for a nation who would not like to realize its significance for national economy and development. Pakistan is blessed with unlimited natural, economic, geographic, agricultural and human capital resources that make her a dynamic place in the South Asia. Since coming into existence as an independent Islamic state, Pakistan is facing many internal and external threats. The challenges of threats have made Pakistan a most vulnerable place in the world. Due to this vulnerability, Pakistan has lost various economic and business investment opportunities, as well as its foreign relations are severely affected in this regard. National security is a key which ensures peace, prosperity, national integrity and national sovereignty of a nation. Safe and sound environment is the first and foremost priority of every business transaction. Foreign investors are reluctant to invest here when state is unable to protect their lives and property. Pakistan is a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual and multi-cultural place which determines its national security and creating inter-communal violence among different groups and leads to chaos in society in the name of religion which poses an existential threat to internal security. Karachi which was once, famous in the world as a city of lights and a national hub of trade for Pakistan now has become a tale of terror. On the other hand, conflicts with India on several matters and its insurgency in our provinces further worsened the atmosphere. Furthermore, the involvement of Pakistan in Afghanistan in the war on terror as an American ally after 9/11 incidence was a sole resort of terrorism resultantly in Pakistan. However, the emerging clarity among institutions and political consensus among stakeholders is a positive sign in this regard. The implementation of National Action plan, Karachi operation and Military operation in North Waziristan and Political consensus among all parties on Pak-China economic corridor are evident that all stakeholders are now on the same page.
