Fresh appointee in BS-16 at federal level draws around 40K in term of take home salary, with basic of 15880. Basic of fresh BS-17 is 25440. there is around difference of 10K in basic only and this effect will affect other allowances too, which are on the basis of percentage to basic. Ceiling allowance is also admissible to all BS-17 at federal level and after plus minus it will provide an additional effect of 10K. So expected salary would be more or less around 60K.

I hope you are not talking about the fresh appointment, under training, in provincial services of BS-17. Any way, correct me if I am wrong by enlightening me with the details.
