Secondly, on the state level, it has been used as a ideology (Pakistan), for ruling (Saudi Arabia and Iran) and Catholic nations.

Thirdly, Religion enjoins the practice of virtues like patience and tolerance. This is vindicated by the lower incidence of suicide in predominantly Catholic than in predominantly Protestant countries."
