Default Queries and Preparation regarding Tehsildar B-16 interview.

BPSC has announced the result of written test for the posts of Tehsildar B-16. First of all, congrats to all those who have got through this stage successfully.

Therefore, the passing candidates must start preparing themselves for interview. But the first question arises as to how and where from the viva-voce test be prepared.

Seniors and all those who have already been through this procedure are humbly requested to guide the candidates. The following questions, if answered, might prove helpful to get passed in interview.

1. What sort of questions are expected to be asked by interview panel?
2. How one should prepare?
3. Which books or any other source be consulted?

Moreover, the share of information and preparation material in this thread will indebt the aspirants of enormous gratitude, and certainly, they will be thankful of all the participants.

Regards . . .

1. What sort of questions are expected to be asked by interview panel?
The questions, which are asked by interview panel, are from
 • Pakistan Affair
 • Islamiat
 • Current Affair and
 • GK, (Biggest Longest Heights in the world)
 • General awareness regarding Pakistan and Baluchistan

2. How one should prepare?
By get through all above topics.

3. Which books or any other source be consulted?
Gk by Bhattis and sons
and also read Dawn thoroughly

Few questions which were asked from me in the interview in 2009 for Tehsildar are:

Pak Affair
Boundary commission and the name of its member
How many battle fought in Panipat?
What is Cabinet mission?
when Quaid became Leader of Muslim league? Etc

GK/ Current Affair

Highest mountain of the world
Highest mountain of Pak
Hightes mountain of Balochistan
What is Date line
What does quetta mean? Etcc

The question reading current affairs were most irritating, as it was total cramming based.

Hmm . . .
Yara, are the topics discussed or simply the facts are asked? The interview should much look like a personality assesment test through discussion, rather than a test of memory, which, I think, has already been tested in written portion. Will it be like that? Or . . .

Assalamulaikum,
Firstly let me offer deep-hearted felicitations to all those who have cleared the written portion of tehsildar-B-16.
I am second to the words of faisal that it must be personality assesment, but the members of BPSC always ask bombastic questions, regarding career, islam, pak affairs, current affairs, general knowledge.
In interview they must discuss something to know the reality of interviwee as how much in depth he is???
But the members of interview pannel each has only 20 marks, so for the very same purpose they ask questions that i have mentioned above.
Regards
Seniors are requested to pay heed and comment....!!!

Default My Personal Experience.

Dejected I should not be, for it is not the panel who is going to induce or reject me for a single seat allocated for Sibi Zone, but disappointed I am after going through the interviewing procedure of BPSC. Either they were kidding or I was incompetent. At one instance it seemed to me as if I am sitting in Tariq Aziz show and my intellectual calibre was being checked through strange Questions.
1. Shakira, the singer, belongs to?
2. Good Luck is the president of?
3. What happened in the plain of Arafat before the time of last sermon?
4. The statement in 29 May's newspaper, xyz, was given by?
and so on . . .

Nevertheless, I answered 50 % of the questions asked, but I had been preparing myself since last weak sleeplessly and was expecting extra-ordinary performance from myself. No, I was not over-confident. The thing I want to say is that all my efforts were of no use to me.

I had prepared, in fact revised, the whole history of Pakistan since 1857, but I was asked only about Aligarh movement that Was it an educational or political movement !
The question a baby could answer.

Similarly, regarding Islamiat, I was just asked the difference between Ghazva and Sarya ! And look at me, I had thoroughly studied Islamic History from 571 A.D upto 661 A.D. Again of no use to me.

As far as Current Affairs is concerned, I had prepared all the organisations, relations, and continental politics. In addition, the hot issues like Middle East uprising, Abbotabad Episode, Budget, augmented terrorism etc etc remained a focal point of my studies. But the panel seemed bent upon asking anonymous questions.

So, the interview, which should have been a personality assessment test through the judgement of my personal views, turned out to be a memory test. And it made me realise that I am very weak at memory.

However, I still have a firm belief over the Lofty Lord of our, the Almighty Allah, Who in surah 8, ayah 30 says, " . . . and Allah is the best of planners". Therefore He must be having one of the best plans for me too. So, no chance to loose heart.

Dears, pray for me.

Regards . . .

Assalamulaikum,
Dear thanks for sharing your experience, But Who were the committee comprised of?? Do you know their names?
It's not the first time, rather they always ask such bombastic questions to make the aspirants confused??

Interviews of BPSC are like Quiz and their areas in interview are Pak Std, Islamiat, GK from all over the world and Current Affairs. This format is applied to all kinds of jobs, PCS, Tehsildar, Doctors, Engineers etc.

Trend in BPSC interviews is like a quiz program so you need to be prepared mentally. Consult veterans in this regard, collect old interview questions from candidates which will help you to get good score in interview.
