Q.No.1 What is a Fossil? Its importance in geology. Explain the process of fossilization and requirement for the preservation of fauna and flora in rocks

Q.No.2. Discuss in detail, the prospects of oil and gas exploration in Balochistan with special reference to geology. Name major sites of oil and gas reservoirs.

Q.No.3 What do you understand by Metamorphism. Discuss in details the various factors and agens of metamorphism.

Q.No.4 Give a complete account of geological map of Balochistan. Briefly discuss the various steps involved In the process of preparation of geological map.

Q.No.5 Discuss in details, the various Geological techniques used for the exploration of mineral deposits. Discuss how the minerals in Balochistan can be useful for the Pakistan’s economy.

Q.No.6 Write an essay on the principles of Stratigraphy.

Q.No.7 Discuss in details, the process of coal bearing formation with different types of coals.Nme Different coal fields of Balochistan.

Q.No.8 Write short notes on three of the following:
(i) Types of Folds.
(ii) Geological Time Scale.
(iii) Sedimentary Rocks
(iv) Aquifer.
