means that USA intervention and manipulation in the affairs of UN has increased to such high level that it is ironically said that the UN has turn into USA state;a state whose workings are effected in one way or the other by the USA.

Currently there are 50 States in The United States of America. 51st State is a political statement, which refers to the areas either seriously or mockingly considered as a candidate for addition to the 50 states, which are already part of the United States making it the 51st State of the United States.

In 1959 Alaska and Hawaii joined the USA, before that the term 49th state was used. Puerto Rico has the possibility of becoming 51st state of USA.

The statement 51st State, when used in adverse sense, can refer to independent states which are perceived to be under the excessive American influence or control.

United Nation (UN) is an International organization for facilitating cooperation in international law, international security, economic development, social progress, human rights and achievement of world peace.

Although United Nation is not an independent state or a territory, which can become the 51st state of United States, but with its Headquarter in New York City, and USA’s role in establishing United Nation and providing funds from time to time has benefited USA more than any country. United Nation has supported USA at several occasions; we have examples of USA attack on Afghanistan and Iraq.

These are the reasons why, United Nation is considered to be under influence of USA.
