OGIII and only 22ooo pay scale???

yes...but they give bonuses and other allowances also
hmm ok. that sounds better. banking sector jobs are really tough with their nine to five timings, that are extendable. the pay is the only thing that s alluring. thanks man. |

|
DO they prefer experinced guy ???? any idea
Experience is not required for this job. So its better not to mention it. If you have experience related to banking then its up to you if you want to mention it or not. |
DO they prefer experinced guy ???? any idea
they preferred both experience and fresh candidates |
Cham, Written test -> Interview ->Medical and you're in!
I had applied last year and now I'm working in UBL.
sir could you please tell us what the job description for an RBO at ubl is like? Does it involve alot of public dealing? Also someone asked about the working hours and stuff.. How far stretched are those? Would you, as a member of the org already, beleive that the work environment is suitable for women? I have a friend who s employed at bank alflah as an MTO and she s constantly complaining of the work envronment not suitable for women hence i have my reservations. Your view will be greatly appreciated. |
Please seniors suggest me what should i do?
My cgpa in BBA is 2.45 (67% according to my univ scale) and in MBA its 3.3 but the result is not officially announced yet and the online application form does not provide year of completion as 2012. Now by percentage, mine division is first in BBA but by cgpa its not. What should i mention now, because i guess preference would be given to 1st division in initial short listing? |

|
@ ammar kindly tell me information about written test paper ?
Cham, test includes English, Mathematics and General Knowledge section. Test used to be easy, the only thing of concern is interview. For reference, some of last year questions are as follow: Branch Banking Officer (UBL) Test English 1. Implicate 2. Advance 3. Transparent 4. Imitate 5. Renovate 6. Inevitable 7. Avoid 8. Fluctuate 9. inadequate Math Was easy!! General Knowledge 1. SECP stands for? 2. UNDP stands for? 3. IMF stands for? 4. First Prime Minister of Pakistan? 5. General Secretary of UN? Banking: 1. Check? 2. Cross Check? 3. Deposits either assets or liabilities of bank? 4. SBP function? 5. Bank function? Mobilizes deposits Good Luck! |
sir could you please tell us what the job description for an RBO at ubl is like?
RBOs are given choice to select from 'Sales' and 'operations' at the end of training period, which is one year. Sales leads to Branch Manager; whereas, by optiing Operations, one would be Customer Services/Operations Manager (CSOM). Does it involve alot of public dealing? Yeah! It involves Public dealing. Also someone asked about the working hours and stuff.. How far stretched are those? In branch banking one needs to be flexible to work until everything is balances; sometimes 7 pm, sometimes 9 pm. Be prepared! Would you, as a member of the org already, beleive that the work environment is suitable for women? One of the Girl (RBO) is CSOM of some branch. The are 4 girls in my batch, they are satisfied. To be true banking industry is regarded as industry of 'THARKIS' sorry Bankers for being blunt. I have a friend who s employed at bank alflah as an MTO and she s constantly complaining of the work envronment not suitable for women hence i have my reservations. When one is powered with guts, easy to handle male-dominated organization. Your view will be greatly appreciated.
Hope it will help you! |

There will be test - indeed a grand test - at some academy of Karachi. Last year it was held at Muhammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU). |
Me, as well took the test in Lahore at PU Examination Centre, last time… I still have the well sharpened lead pencil they gave us to solve the paper…:D
the test was so very easy… |
Hope it will help you!
thanks your post was helpful indeed. One last question - how long is the period on the security bond? With this and The training of one year you ve mentioned, is that at nibaf or is it like on job training? Also... Guts.. Hmm. I dunno sometimes all the confidence in the world cant save you from inconvenient social situations. After all its a nine to nine ... Phew spending half of your day at work is taxing wrk environment is paramount thus. But i can see your pt of view also. Thanks a bunch. |
Is it nine to nine job? :thinking do all banking jobs of Trainee officer, OG I and others have such hectic work schedule?
:) sorry for the ambiguation. I called it a nine to nine job in context to the previous post that mr. Ammar had replied to for me. Officially all banking working hours are nine to five, but being a branch manager can extend working hours to 8 ish i am told. Thats the scenario i was talking about, in retrospect that statement sounds like an exaggeration. My apologies. |

Mcb tbo s vs rbo ubl?
Thoughts on merits and demerits of both? |

Well, training includes around one month class room training, on job training - rotation in different departments of branch -, one week training in main branch (Chest or Vault branch), one week training at Centralized Operations of bank, etc. Umm, one can say it is very hectic to work in a branch - the hell, I pronounce it - banking. Apart from all this, one must not loose opportunity in this saturated job market. Good Luck ahead!
i hav applied.... i am MBA Finance CGPA 3.39.... m frm rawalpindi,,,, will i b shortlisted ????
My CGPA is not as good as yours is. Trust me cut off CGPA is enough. Apart from all this, one must have minimum 3.0 CGPA.
Mcb tbo s vs rbo ubl? Thoughts on merits and demerits of both?
Both are good. MCB pays little higher than UBL but at the end UBL gives you opportunity to be Manager after one year. MCB is owned by Pakistani group whreas, UBL is in hands of Sheiks of Dubai. Being a son of MCBian I preferred not to join MCB. |

I'm recently doing job in govt sector but I want to join banking field bacause many learning and career enhancement opportunities are provided during the job. I also have specific interest for banking and finance jobs. Recently, I have been offered position of T.O. in Soneri Bank but I rejected due to some of the above mentioned reasons. Now I'm totally confused regarding decision I've heard someone saying banking jobs interrupts personal life of an individual. I mean, I'd be grateful to you if you can you please elaborate banking jobs? |
