SAMIA FAROOQ: my test score was 73, cgpa 3.57, and acca.

I appeared in interview yesterday at FTC building karachi

The interview was general ..they asked cgpa and any distinction in career....
..they asked questions...what is contingent liability? Working capital..? Current assets? Short term ..medium term...long term liability... situation was given..if u are manager and two customers come in your branch one is salaried and other millionaire? Who will you prefer to talk first? ...I gave positive response ..all you have to do is to be positive and confident and show willingness for the job and the bank...They can ask IT related questions about excel and computer

Hello everyone,
My interview was today. My nts marks are 60, cgpa of 3.29, mba in finance and i am currently working at an asset management company in the department of financial accounting. Before that i was working at SCB. The panel asked me the following questions:
1. introduce yourself
2. tell us about your work experience
3. why did you switch from SCB
4. did you read or get to know about nbp's operations with respect to letter of credit while you were working at SCB. I said "no" because my department was responsible to handle cash management operations, not the lending operations.
5. why do you want to switch from a permanent job to a contractual job. I did not have a strong answer to that because this job is actually not very attractive for me in terms of pay scale and employment status as compared to my current job. Anyways i said that i did not mind doing a contractual job as long as it offered me a good learning experience.
6. do you have a knack for treasury management. I again said "no" :P

Btw NTS made a lot of errors in shortlisting candidates for the test. Without ensuring compliance with eligibility criteria, NTS even shortlisted those candidates who have either not received the final result yet, do not have the qualification as mentioned in the ad, or have a cgpa of less than 3. I saw it today when the nbp officials were verifying the documents of each candidate. The candidates had to bear the inconvenience because of the fault of NTS. Shame on NTS.

Can anyone tell about the possible nature of this contractual job? like time frame of the contract, any later chances of getting permanent etc?

Its not changeable into a permanent job. I asked the panel and they said its not changeable at any point of the job.
