Default Interview experience for ACCA AFFILIATE OR acca with less than 3 year exp
They are asking for equivalence certificate. Only acca member can get the certificate. So, if you can not get the equivalence certificate. Kindly, don't waste your time.

Kindly clarify why they are asking for equivalent certificate when they have explicitly mentioned in the advertisement that people who have cleared their ACCA papers/ modules are eligible to apply... there is no point in demanding the equivalence certificate.

What did they ask in interview? Please share questions so that we can have an insight. And panel consists of?

If they are adamant on the equivalence certificate, I guess we should consult the labour courts then!

It's discriminatory at the very least.

If ACCA allows me to pursue a CFA charter without any equivalence of any sort required by CFA; it's sufficient testimony to the high standards of ACCA.

Furthermore ACCA as an organisation and the qualification are regulated by an ACT OF UK PARLIAMENT; an ACT that isn't 12 pages long and draft in haste as our local ACT!

Guys it was a quite professional interview. Everyone was asked different thing.If I can advise or guide that would be just one thing: Know thyself.

I recently called BSC HR department and the guy there stated that you need to have MCOM equivalence provided by HEC for ACCAs.

This is totally unfair as no such requirement was communicated earlier. It's clearly written on the ad that ACCA, CA and ACMAs are eligible to apply provided that they have cleared all required papers/modules. Where does the equivalence come from?

I have the required experience but i still cant provide them with equivalence as i did FIA after O Levels and HEC is only providing equivalence to FIA guys who cleared it after 2014. Since i can't get equivalence for my inter, i can't get equivalence for ACCA either.

What to do?

Candidate are request to appear in Interview as Interview panel is considering ACCA/ACMA and other professional in Interview.
