Today i talked to HR and they told me that confirm date of commencement of training will be finalized in a couple of days. Than they will dispatch letters to us.

Hello everyone,

Is anyone going for the SBOTS training from Karachi? Please contact so that we can meet up and maybe plan the trip together to Islamabad if possible.

problem - nibaf s not answering the number they provided us with on the letter. the operator is stuck on loop. so i tried calling a couple of times and encountered the same issue over the past fews days. i m coming from outside islamabad and travelling for the first time alone. i wanted to know how other candidates are travelling? can we get there before 3 pm? does anyone know if its ok to reach there sooner than the reported time? has anyone had the chance to get in touch with management at nibaf?

Yes, there is no issue even if you reach earlier than the required time. Inform the staff available there and you will be alloted a room soon after for your wonderful stay at NIBAF. You will surely have a great time at NIBAF!

According to HR Personnel, only 13 candidates have accepted the offer to join training at NIBAF under SBOTS-17 Batch among the list of 27 successful candidates.

As per my knowledge some people are abroad pursuing higher studies / jobs, some are not willing to join due to Karachi Factor, some are already doing good jobs. One candidate has passed away recently.

SBP took very long in announcing da result, waisai its good for da remaining candiates i guess, i guess small group has better opportunity to groom n grow thn a bigger group?

YPIP inductees usually perform operational work in SBP field offices whereas SBOTS inductees are mostly involved in policy making / banking regulation & supervision / international and domestic investments functions. Field offices; i.e. SBP-BSCs are subsidiaries of SBP. They have their separate HR with head office in Karachi which inducts new employees via YPIP batches whereas SBP usually inducts new employees via SBOTS.

Job Description of inductees depends upon the nature of work assigned to them. Each department in both SBP and SBP-BSC may have different kinds of responsibilities / assignments.
