SALAM. i m a new user here .
m from multan and opted mul for gd .i need help for gd phase .
i hav sm querry bou the selection criteria .our marks for each stage wil b considered individually (once v hav qualified ny stage ,those marks wont b considered next ) or in a composite manner (written +gd + interview) ???

I'm glad more and more ppl r coming forward. For now we r waiting for gd call. Once v get the invi then v will begin discussing GD.

candidates falling in the qualified cadre 4 sbots r definitely gonna b called for gd or they l further shortlist b4 gd?

The email that I received from NTS on 6th November, 2012 which mentioned that I am successful and should send documents to NTS, has total of 50-51 recipients in total! You people can also check your email and hopefully you will have the same number of recipients in the "To" portion of that email.

If someone can confirm it, it would be a good way for us to estimate the number of candidates who cleared the test! I am just doubtful if nts sent that email to one mailing list or they have more than one mailing list.

I too received a similar e-mail. But I cannot see the number of recepients .
However, I have sent the documents to NTS and waiting for the next round to arrive.

I have some questions regarding group discussion from seniors specially from Raz and Usman bhai.
1. What is the main purpose of gd, I mean to check what qualities in candidates, it is conducted?
2. How much the "knowledge" of the topic is concerned?
3. How much it is different from gd of CSS. As in CSS, they already have tested the knowledge of the candidate through a comprehensive written test.
4. What is the ratio of success in a group? 50 % , 30 % or less , ON AVERAGE?
5. Interviews of successful candidates or conducted the same day? Because if yes, we should prepare for interview with gd now.
6. I have listened that if you clear the GD, you would most likely to be selected in interview, how much it is true? If not, approximately how much candidates clear the interview on average, as per your observations and experience?
7. Can you tell what types of topics are given for discussion, if you please tell some already discussed topics in last batches?
I shall be highly obliged if you arrange the answers of the questions.

5. Ya heard both r conducted on same day.
6. No it's not true. After every round strength decreases for sure but it is not done to meet any specific number. Final selection is made on the basis overall score. That is what I heard.
