bro I had to ask this from you if someone has got any other degree with sixteen years of education, say for example engineering degree, is he qualified to apply for SBOTS? I doubt the 'etc' mentioned in the Sbots 'ad' because they have explicitly mentioned some degrees and left others to be implicitly deduced from 'etc'. Your word please!

Unless the name of degree is clearly mentioned in the ad, you are ineligible for SBOTS. I applied last year, cleared the test, I was not called for further process. When i asked, the person from SBP said, you are a telecom engineer and your degree name is not written in the ad. I said it comes in IT related as networking is my field, but it was a clear NO.

So I would suggest you to make a direct call to SBP(not to NTS, I repeated to SBP) and ask them about your eligibility based for your degree name. But most probably answer will be negative.

Default Certificate showing Percentage Marks

As mentioned in Interview letter, candidates are required to show certificate showing the percentage marks obtained in Graduate/Post graduate.
My latest degree, Transcript does not show the percentage , it only shows the CGPA. Further more , as our university followed a "Relative system" for marking ,so only the grade points for each subject are mentioned, and not the marks I obtained ) . i am afraid , my university wont be able to provide me a separate certificate for that too.
Can anyone suggest , what should I do?

If your university is recognized by HEC then there is no reason to worry about these trivial issues. The criteria laid down by SBP was a degree from HEC recognized institute not a degree from a university following ABC marking system.

@Mahi

SBP BSC is a subsidiary of SBP and i am in Central Directorate of SBP. therefore, i cannot tell you the responsibilities of these officers explicitly. Functions of depts as mentioned on sbp website are the duties of employees as well.

All who were not contacted due to a different degree or CGPA & Percentage Problem should contact Human Resource Dept SBP immediately. It is because the need of job is yours and you are the one who need to make efforts seeking answer to your questions.

Regards,

Ateeb

Thanks a lot.
my university is recognized by HEC.. for Post graduation..NUST to be specific.
So i dont have to present the said certificate as my university cant issue it. Plus my transcript for Graduation does shows the percentage marks (its from a differnet university _ HEC Recognized too)..Will this be suffice?

The university that follows relative system issues a certificate that shows relative grade point of each grade. That certificate will be enough for the said purpose.

I had the same issue and asked the SBP representative and he said whatever certificate your university issues bring that. However, as mentioned earlier you don't need to worry much about these trivial issues.
