Can one defer allocation to next year? Can one defer allocation to next year?

Default Can one defer allocation to next year?
If one appears in the CSS exam, and in the end gets allocated to a group, then is it possible to defer his allocation/admission by one year? i.e. Can one start his CTP not with his own batchmates but with the next year's batch?

Has anyone any info in this regard, or have you ever heard of something like this happening?

Yes one can defer his/her CTP training to next batch. Topper of CSS 2012, Shahryar, availed this policy.

I hope this is a general policy and not some special arrangement made for him because he was the topper.

I don't know the authenticity of the facility about deferring CTP but, one thing is for sure: if there is such rule then it is applicable to all across-the-board.

Yes there is a policy regarding deferring. .. I personally know a person from IRS group who availed it .

Yes, anyone can avail this. My friend availed this in 2011.
