Is CSS really worth putting in all the labours of mind and heart?

Frineds,
All of us are waiting for the result very anxiously. Securing this job really means a lot for us. But if I tell you about the ordeals of a civil servant who feels like reaching a terminus of disappointment after 08 years of service.

I chose foreign service as my first preference as opposed to the most coveted group i.e PAS just because of this reason.

I am still in BS-17 and I don't claim 8 years of service on my credit, but Alhamdulillah I have 17 kanal fully furnished house, 4 vehicles with POL including Prado TX, Vigo and Land Cruiser! I don't mention other things but I just mentioned the things that the person in question mentioned. I don't know where he works but myself and my batch mates are extremely satisfied with everything we have.

I'm a PAS officer dear, and if I am given a chance 1000 times I would always choose PAS. Sitting outside you cannot judge the perks etc of any service.

Furthermore, choosing the civil service as a career is entirely your own choice, no one is compelling you to join it. Who cannot join it must not discourage others.

Exactly, it is not worth taking. Only top three groups (PAS,PSP,FSP) have perks and privileges; rest are not more than a 17-scale sarkari mulazim.

Glad to hear that you stopped many :vic

Here is the biggest reason for what is wrong with our bureaucracy. Our motivation for joining the service is only for materialistic gains and privileges, instead of serving the society. Please go into private sector if you want high paying and comfortable jobs.

Perks and salary beshaq kam ho, agar dam nai hai css paper denay ka, dont discourage others. You may be living elite lives and going to good universities where you can go to corporate sector. I have studied in taatoun waalay school, have been bullied, studied in jaranwala and asif public school, and worked my way to nust. I havent got job and i am 25 at the moment. I worked as a paper boy as internee in bank alfalah and after 8 weeks, just got 4000 rupees. So please i have given css exams, and i want to pass. Dont discourage because there are no jobs.

P.S i called fpsc lahore, and they dont know about the result date and they have disowned the fb page which says kay aaj result aaj ayay gaa

Exactly sir, post of sir imran khan demotivated me a lot, on one hand i am going to leave a 6 digit salary job, opportunities of scholarships(for which i believe i will get better scholarships as a civil servant) but than having very less or no perks and peanuts in salary would still be a big issue, i believe one can teach at academies or online and can easily make 6 digit income and later on invest and make more money while also having a good career progression rate too being a civil servant. If people get 64k after 8 years of service without any benefit, compared to a fresh graduate like me who has a better salary package with 0 experience demotivates me. I know CSPs earn a bit less but that can change in future, plus scholarship oportunities, opportunites to go on foreign missions abd earn big there, teach in academies, facilities, career progression in good groups(PAS PSP CUSTOMS FSP etc) should outweigh benefits in any other job in Pakistan. I wonder why many people demotivate us :(

Well said, brother. I pray that you pass the exam and go on to do great things for the society.
