Dear fellow!

It'z quite possible and for that you 'll have to organize your study. Theory plus practice means the organization in studies coz no one can memorize all the things for such a long perioe. By practice, it can be done easily and effectively. You are here, on this forum, where you are practising the practice by discussing, what you have read theoratically. So, we must be thankful to this forum.
You are sharing the knowledge here which is, obviously, fruitful for you. So, get started and read theory then practise it here. Use Dedication and Devotion as a catalyst in this process. Wish you best of luck, my pure and best prayers are with you.

@ Above

Absolutely, 8 months is a very good time .. And u should be aiming something even more than 700 bcz it is a par score now a days and u must aim higher to be allocated ..
Just go for it with all ur might and remember u have more than enough time .. I have seen many members of this forum passing with a maximum of 6 months prep and some extraordinary ones even passed with a lesser period of time`s prep .. In the end its ur devotion and sincerity towards ur goals that counts ..
Good luck ..

Popping in just to tell that 2011's exam is strongly expected in February, even some are suggesting the tentative month to be January...so this 8 month thing should be cautiously cut down to 7 months & it if the last month is to taken off for revisions, then it turns out to be 6 months...still enough but with double effort and best management.

while you prepare for CSS you are not a blank sheet.you have lot of experiences of your life, educational background and experience of attempting several exams from class 1.on other hand css is not the exam of just cpmlusory+optional subjects.it is test of your nerves,it is test of your time management, it is test of your personal thoughts.in this regard the time period of 8 month is enough for any person to pass this exam.all you need is to ORGANISE 1) your time 2) your thoughts and 3) studies.

@ Dasht-e-tanhai

Dear you are not alone in the dasht we all are here to help you with whatever little knowledge we possess.

As afar as passing exam is concerned ,I would say it is more of a subjective thing. There is no universal formula of success for all.It varies form person to person .There are many factors like ,your knowledge, experience, luck, preparation, time management, persistence, emotional strength and an organised approach. Moreover, your educational background also counts,If you have had a good educational background and possess strong communication and analytical skills then passing exam even in a short span of time is not impossible.

So stay calm and focused and persistent.

Regards

Yeah, time is always against us. i would rather suggest Miss Engineer to start making handy notes i.e. summarized , point-wise, one-page answers for all the material which she has gone through. It will save you time in the end before the papers. It doesn't matter if you are preparing for this exam for last 2 years but what matters most is that how quickly you recall your things at the last moment i.e. a day before paper. you wont find time to go through the whole book, so start writing your summarized notes; it will also give you a good practice for writing and revision too.

Best of luck.
