Default CSS vs MBBS

Worthy Members of the CSS Forum,
It has been quite a pleasure and a relief to find this very helpful forum. I am a student of pre-medical and am presently weighing MBBS with CSS. You are requested to share your opinions as to the pros and cons of each and your reasons for preferring one of these two. Thanks.

MBBS is a professional degree and if a person qualifys he/she becomes a doctor where as CSS is an exam for the induction of BPS 17 OFFICERS in different govt departments.

I dont think you can weigh it together as having completed your FSc you will have to go for some bachelors degree than you can go for CSS, isnt it good if you go for MBBS and once you have done it you can also go for CSS. so you are in a position to achieve both...therefore in my view first concentrate for MBBS and then for CSS... All the Best with this all...!!

@Asna Safdar: bachay you are just our little kiddy sister and as a bro I request you to just focus on your professional studies. Don't indulge in such confusions. Once you have done your MBBS you can avail css. being a doctor you can also opt medical subjects which will give you more rather general subjects. Remember the topper of css in 2008 was a doctor. ALLAH bless you.

Dear BIG Bro,
You call it 'indulging in confusion' if a student starts considering various career options? Yes, I know the 2008 topper was a doctor but what about the toppers before that and after that? Were they doctors too? Do you mean to tell me that an MBBS degree is necessary for topping CSS exam? Or do you just mean I need a proper qualification to secure my future? CSS being, as people say, a game of luck only...
Do clear my 'confusion' as an elder bro

Css is more a game of luck so first opt for a particular field of your choice and complete your studies,if after your graduation you still want to pursue Css then do give it a shot...

PS,I'm myself a doctor and I'd advice you to take Css out of your mind for the moment and concentrate on getting good marks in your exams so that you get admission in a good college.

Could anyone please tell me whether the mbbs degree is equivalent to bachelors OR masters degree?
and whether a B.Sc degree after taking an English paper is awarded after 2 OR 5 years of MBBS?

MBBS is basically a bachelors degree and is given after 5 years unlike the Bsc degree which is awarded 2 years after Fsc.........Mind you becoming a doctor isn't that an easy job as the studies are very tough so you have to take Css out of your mind then, after getting your degree you can appear in Css exam if you want to...........

MBBS is basically a Bachelors degree but it's equivalent to masters degree! Just as BSc honors.
