hahah.... I enjoyed your rational logic. The meager salaries cannot feed. Can you imagine the cream of society is earning around 7-15K (basic salary)? How shameful isn't it? I am sometimes become so worried that people having engineering/medical/accounting/or other professional degrees can earn more than 100K without pretending to be like Gates, Ambani or Mansha, then why do they join civil service where they have to face political pressure? Power cannot feed or meet both ends. The Federal Service Commission has to re-organize the existing service structure. Otherwise, honest people have to search another planet where they may flourish with their mystical, ethical values.

@rizwanzehri

Brother you are right one can serve for country without being a csp, but serving the country being a csp give you an opportunity to do big for your country.
Every profession has it's own limits for serving, but civil services renders the best platform to help common people. IN SHA ALLAH when I will become a CSP I will use this platform for the country!

Basic Salary of a BS-17 Grade Officer is 16k, s/he earns around 45k inclusive of all allowances etc., FSP Officers earns a bit more but after the completion of their training (CTP & STP) if they're stationed outside the country. Regards

I have read all posts posted here by different users and I really feel sorry to write this but we really do not have a bright future with the kind of mentality we have.

One of my brother suggested that one can't live with a meagre salary that a BPS 17 officer earns! Where are we headed. I assure you that a person earning halal 30 to 40 thousand (BPS 17 Salary) can easily live good life but of course when there is greed then there is no end. Why complain about politicians who have properties and money for generations yet do everything to get hold of any penny they possibly can. There is no end to greed.
And we have to die in the end so we will know if all that money we earned results in pain or pleasure. Alas, we forget our great Muslim ancestors who lived and many still live in this very solar system.

If I were a CSP, I'd rather work for free for poor people instead of taking bribes and gifts.

I do not know why you would ask this question obviously one does not opt for CSS for the sallary he will earn.
I think almost 99% of the people would be more than happy to pay 100k or more to the government instead on a monthly basis for bestowing upon this position.

"Mohabbat kar k bhi dekha, Mohabbat mein bhi dokha hai". Dear Fellow, these officers are hired by the government for the service of these very people, so if someone is not taking bribes he's just fulfilling his duties but look at the magnitude of the prevalent corruption that keeping up integrity and uprightness while being a superior cadre officer is considered as something unusual. And one thing more, there are no CSPs after the All Pakistan Unified Grade System (APUG) was introduced through 1973 reforms. Regards
