Please tell me any good book for mastering the English language.. I just have joined the Karachi university css preparatory classes but they mainly focus on exam tips. I want to grasp English language from the scratch.

No. i have not decided the optional subjects yet but i will not take English literature as a optional one. I am not so good in English that's why i asked for some help.
