Default CSS Age cutoff rule
Assalamualaikum all,

I am bit confused on age cutoff criteria, though i have read CSS rules as well but they dint solve my query. The problem is my date of birth, is 25 Dec,1989 , and I am going to enter in 27th year of my life this birthday, so i can appear in CSS 2016 but whether I will be eligible to appear in CSS 2017 and 2018 or only in 2017 ? because in 2017 i will be in 28th year of my life.

can any one answer with justification by rule.

You can appear in CE-16 & CE-17 but not in CE-18. Cut of date for exam CE-18 will be 31st Dec 2017 and on that cut off date you will be 28 years & 6 days old, and that will make you not illegible for CE-18. "Age must not be over 28" mentioned in FPSC rules.

31st Dec. 2015: 26 years - Eligible for CE 2016
31st Dec. 2016: 27 years - Eligible for CE 2017
31st Dec. 2017: 28 years - Ineligible

Default Why Cut off age is calculated on 31st Dec in CSS?
Why is it so that the cut off age is determined on a specific date i.e 31-12-2016 ?
Shouldn't it be according to one's d.o.b ?

As i am sure that it won't be a rocket science for PPSC to calculate age according to one's d.o.b, so why isn't this rule not in a simple manner????
