Part-time Jobs & CSPs.
Are serving CSPs allowed to do part-time work, e.g visiting lecturership, or if you are MBBS then running private clinic after the office hours, like these etc?????

As far as delivering lectures(to CSS aspirants) is concerned then I guess it's fine but didn't get why someone would like to run a private clinic being a CSP.

In my humble opinion, the one who loves his or her MBBS and is not attracted to office work and bank notes should continue practicing medicine without attempting CSS.

I was expecting something addressing the real question rather than its margins. Thanks for your humble wit, yet the prime query is still unanswered.

As per Government Rules, no Employee is allowed to work privately. The relevant law is reproduced as follow:
"No Government servant shall except with the previous sanction of the Government, engage in any trade or undertake any employment or work, other than his official duties". However there are certain exceptions though.

In my opinion, no one will take accounts of the time you spend after office. There are many who, after the office, are indulged in their businesses etc. But that depends on their nature of job. For instance some FSP officers posted in administration are able to find time every day after 4 pm while others in political sections are not free until 7 or 8pm and occasionally 10pm or on weekends, holidays.

Thanks for your reply ! Does that mean the above Law is for office hours only, or that it is normally a paper law only?? I was also thinking coz I saw in the CV of Mr. ***** of PSP that he used to teach Law as visiting faculty. Many of the CSS Academy teachers are servicmen. Many have their businesses, I think. And just as a point, above all, our main politicians actually come to the office for Business. This shouldn't be elaborated here, though |
