Exclamation need counselling

Salaamz!

I am masters degree holder and planned long ago to prepare for CSS Exam, but for some reasons, I had to leave it halfway.. Now, at the age of 26, I wish to continue my left journey.. But, there appears some hurdles, for I need your guidance to overcome the same:

1. I am employed person and can only study on part-time basis i.e after 5.00 pm.

2. I have no idea about subject-selection. However, my areas of interest are political philosophy and general literature.

3. How to get a (grasp) grip on compulsory subject mainly English.

4. Finally, the selection of appropriate books.

Looking forward to your kind guidance and counselling.
