Great Combo go ahead and take Punjabi as your optional instead of Sociology as it is your regional language and scoring than Sociology.

IR, US history is a good choice. Choose Punjabi instead of sociology because it is more scoring.

Group 4- History (Indopak or US) (100) Group 6- IL or Criminology (100) Choose 2 subjects to complete 600 marks. 1 subject of 200 marks is compulsory. IR and PS are general and others are for subject specialist. Since you are management graduate and not a commerce graduate so, you have no option but to choose either IR or PS. I am a commerce graduate but still I have chosen general subjects. I have not even chosen business administration due to financial management. It is totally up to you. Rest you can choose 1 subject from listed 4 subjects. You can also choose mercantile law. Half of the syllabus is related to business law and rest are new topics but it is not that scoring as per previous result. I have given you choices of high scoring general subjects.

Okay thanks alot! Let me ask you something more about it. What about history of indo-pak / history of usa? I'm thinking to opt history of pak-indo, as much of the part has already been covered in pak affairs. Which is more trendy in terms of score? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If you decide to attempt IR then my suggestion is to attempt either US history or IL as they are helpful for IR. If you want to choose PS then you can choose any subject from above list. I have taken general subjects having medium to high scoring trend with overlapped syllabus. My optional subjects are IR, IL, US history, ES and Psychology. Last time I have appeared with combination of IR, Indo Pak, Public Administration, GS and Psychology. I have switched 3 of my subjects for coming attempt. Last time my choice was not rational but I had to go with these due to limited time of preparation.

US history: 1- Book by JWT (No E-Book available). This is according to syllabus. 2- Majumdar's book for certain topics (No E-Book available)- It is up to certain time and after that you need to cover from JWT but the topics before that time are well written. 3- Notes of Sir Naveed Bhutto (They are well written)- Available online: Check US history section. I have uploaded new working link just last month. US history takes 15-20 days of prepare. If you some how manage to finish before that or can manage some time in your schedule, do read peoples history of United states by Howard Zinn. It is easily available for online study as well as download. Just search go google by writing book name, author's name and do not forget to mention pdf. First 3 are compulsory. 4th is optional. IR: 1- Joshua Goldstien- Highly recommended for beginners for concept building (Easily available online) 2- By Ikram Rabbani of JWT (No E-Book available) IR is 200 marks subject and it can take 25-40 days for preparation depending upon individual. If you finish them in less than 30 days, I will suggest you to read Globalization of world politics. It is for those who are done with basics of subjects. It is available online. Another good book if by Parakash Chandar. I have consulted it for 4,5 topics only. 1st 2 are must have. 3rd one is optional but can help you score more. 4th one was just an option. Yes, I have suggested 3 sources for each but CSS subjects cannot be covered by single book. You need to consult at least 2,3 books for almost every subject. Some you can study in soft form while others are needed in hard form. I do have few books in soft form and I am more than willing to share but I am afraid I cannot do it at the moment due to my busy schedule. Try searching them online. Otherwise, I have plans to upload all in 3rd week of July. I will share link on forum In Sha Allah.
