Default passing both optional papers of IR

Is it compulsory to pass both papers of IR or chemistry separately?

No, it is not compulsory to pass both papers. You just need 66 marks in total to pass the subject which has total 200 marks i.e IR, Chemistry, Physics, Pol. Science etc. If you fail one subject, it does not matter as long as you get enough marks in other paper to compensate that. You will be declared pass if you have total 66 or more marks.
