Question @oriental

salaam and dua my dear,

yu have asked for the following as i quote you:

kindly guide me regarding some MUSTread for CSS apart from DAWN and other Newspapers.I mean some good Books (General knowledge , politics, history or anything like that )....

Dear, the study for specific subjects so huge that u cant take out time for reading extra stuff apart form newspaper.. IF u ask me for some must read stuff, i'd advise u to study facts n figure of the geographical locations of different countries, their annual budgets, their expenditures on defense, education, science etc.., the largest, the longest, the shortest rivers, buildings of the different countries.. the PM Presidents of various countries such as the big powers etc their govt set up such as the Assemblies, constitutions, law enforcing agencies, currencies, flags, and many many such things, in short the general knowledge about the world at larg. if not specifically, these things will help u in objective type questions which have got nothing to do with the subject at times but which are usually general. e.g in CE-07 there was an MCQ on Canada's flag that which country's flag contains the maple leaf.. similarly, there was an MCQ about the tallest building of Malaysia.. so u cant really imagine which side is gonna be touched upon in mcqs..

hope that was sufficient for the day...

Regards,

Cosmic libertine

Question @ Cosmic

Thank u so much dear Cosmic Brother!I am really gratful for your help and suggestions.....I hope you are not bothered by my queries.

What do you think of Urdu as an optional subject.? Urdu literature is my favourite area of study and I am quite confident about my knowlege of Urdu.In fact if I go and sit in the exam without preparation then I am sure that I could pass the subject...BUT after looking at the results I deduced that it is although an interesting but a low scoring subject.....even the topper of 2008 (Dr.Noor )could acculumate only 124 marks in Urdu....

So should urdu be opted for as an elective ????

On the other hand, Psychology is a subject that is high scoring(in my humble opinion after going through past papers and results) .But I have no idea of Psychology at all ....!!!Although qustions were asked traditoinally .i.e.define...explain ... ,sort of !

what is the better choice between Urdu n Psychology ??

or any other subject ????

kindly reply in detail..........
