Default Smart work vs hard work.

AoA all..

while going through the previous posts of mano g, nasr khan etc , i have noticed that they have accentuated on smart work in lieu of hard work. What does smart work mean? Either its the second name of selective study or something else?
Waiting for elaborate answer. Thanks.

Smart work also needs hardwork. It means study the material in short time which will be fruitful in exam.

i don't think both have the same meaning. If you go through or you might have been gone through the posts of mano g and nasr khan, they have, time and again , emphasized on smart work rather than hard work. Even mano g had mentioned "hard work" as one of the causes of failure in css....

not only hard work is required in CSS but it requires all of your attention properly on that appropriate topic and you should try to reach every single useful point of that topic i.e; smart work to reach your next step.

it does mean don't start prepration haphazardly..Stay organised, delegation, get to work on time & leave on time..set your goals & task management..once you ve decided cling to it..smart work also required while u sit in exam as what questions you are going to attempt in what manner..apart from that while prepration don't neglect the past trends that help us in what ways a question may be asked...

Here, in CSS exam, smart work means to identify the appropriate topics and to study it. Many people, during preparation of current affairs, squander a huge amount of time by studying irrevelant current political sitiuations and rivalries among politicians. This is not the requirement of css exam rather fpsc avoid such controversial topics. In case of optionals, smart study means to identify the most repeated questions inspite of to waste ample amount of time by memorizing the whole book from A-Z.
What Amna rafique says is absolutely right. Anyone, going for css exam, is required to select optionals wisely, identify the most important topics, and to complete everything within the allocated time. The same strategy should be adopted for compulsory as well.
