No weightage is specifically assigned to research work in CSS, however, your research work helps you to boost your score indirectly i.e. if you mention your published/un-published research work in interview you may attract interview panel's attention towards your work and may succeed in inviting some questions on that research work. In this way, you will be able to respond them effectively and consume their time in field of your expertise.

The best interview technique is to drive the interviewer with your persuasive and stimulating skills and don’t wait to be driven by the interviewer because his drive may lead you to uncertainties and failure.
