Asslam O alaikum dear Members ,
I have a query a source or factor of decreasing my Passion and Interest of CSS, actually i have done HSSC as a private student with very poor grade"D" and FA as regular student again with grade"D", now i am pursuing my MS in Management sciences from IMsciences peshawar now i have credible grade with3.6 GPA.can anyone guide me how my academic record would affect me in CSS if it is then how i mean on what ground ? should i quit CSS studies or there is any way out ?

Well dear brother nothing can stop you to be a successful person whether in civil services or any walk of life unless you stop trying to be the one. It doesn't matter what you've done in academics in the past, the thing that matters is a will and "if there is a will, there is a way". Success is meant to be with a strong and diligent commitment for getting something valuable, whatever you want to be in life. Brother aspirants opt optional subjects based upon their scoring trend, interest and academic background. If you think that you can't perform well in the subjects that you opted by dint of your academic background, then don't opt them, rather opt optionals as per your interest and scoring trend, subjects like journalism, sociology, Persian, business administration, accounting and auditing, mercantile law, psychology etc are scoring.

Albert Einstein said "winners never quit and quitters never win", so brother never ever let down your spirit, will and effort. Have trust in ALLAH TALA and your abilities. I'd suggest you do attempt CSS. Make a study plan and follow it sincerely. People dream to live a life of CSP, so why not you ? Yes you can do it. Remember this sentence whenever you think to quit "I know I'm something because ALLAH TALA doesn't create garbage."

Well brother I'm in favor of appearing CSS after having a professional degree because it makes you more familiar in depth and wider perspective with the knowledge of subjects, especially for those which you want to opt as an optionals.
If you are going to be over age then its better to do an attempt for CSS. If you think you've learned pretty well knowledge and can prepare the subjects well through B.A proficiency, then attempt CSS. If you think that you can learn more by doing masters then go for it, considering the age factor for CSS. I'd suggest you to opt optionals as per their scoring trend and your interest as well, not only just your academic background, because scoring trend counts a lot. In CSS, you've to critical, creative and unique in your medium of expression.
