Sociology is the option you should go with. Reasons: first, this subject is much open-ended as compared to Geography; you can just write and give your own observations continuously. Second: sociology is the study of society, and it will surely help you while attempting Essay and Current Affairs; you will be analysing the social stratifications. Third: Geography demands some what consideration for mastering the concepts; while, Sociology comparatively has lesser level of focussed concepts. Fourth: Sociology has comparatively lesser syllabus but more chances to score high than that of the other.
Got the reasons, my dear fellow!!!

Hmmm. It should be the one covering your requirements. There is another useful book. Sociology by Advanced publishers, and writer is Imtiaz Shahid. Just go on the book shop, match the contents of the book with the syllabus. And, you will be able to decide which is the better one. I hope you got the point.
