Default Dilemma of selection ( IR or accountancy and auditing )

I am doing BBA hons
I have studied 7 to 8 courses related to accounting , finance and auditing
but with no conceptual gain, to some extent i can say i can get good grades in these subjects but not good concepts

on the other hand i have great interest in IR and its related subjects like Indo Pak history, current affairs etc.

Having said that, if i am to take CSS exam i will have to start from zero in both subjects

Accountancy and auditing is more marks giving than IR but dilemma of going for marks or going for conceptual gain remains.
any concrete suggestions ..........

My vote goes to conceptual gains.
Btw, ain't you develop interest in accounting than why you have gone for BBA horns?

go for IR ,because as you yourself say that u will have to start from square one .. almost same amount of time will be required to cover both subjects ... hence in the time allocated for IR you will be getting privilege of getting edge in other correlated subjects as well ; but in accounts and audit same amount of time will give you grasp upon the only subject mentioned ..

just go through the syllabus and past papers of both, and decide yourself. Nobody can guarantee you about anything. Moreover you need basic concepts for accounting and auditing, if you don't possess those basics than don't even try for accounting & auditing.

Default Thanks all of you guys who helped clearing my mind

i would also have gone for the IR because in my heart i know this is the subject i want to choose
Ursula i started studying accounting subjects in second semester so there was no chance leaving at that point
according to past papers i think i can do both because i have seen, solved or have know how about most of the questions in both subjects
i was just not sure about, if i can get good marks in IR even if i attempt the paper very well

anyways thanks to all of you i will go for IR unless someone or something really changes my mind
