Dear unfortunately there is no perfect touch stone for high scoring subjects. The trend goes on changing year to year. However i my opinion British History has an edge over Economics. It is simple ,concise and quite palatable. you can accrue high score with little smart study. I also opted B.H as one of my optional an CE 2008 and scored 130/200 marks in it.
This is my humble suggestion final verdict will undoubtedly be yours.

I recommended you in other post that Economics is not an intelligent choice when you know that you dont have mastery over the concepts of Micro-economics.

British History is very good option while compared to the Economics caz it could score marks for you.
