Question Need suggestions about Arabic

hello all,
i want to take a suggestion from all those who have opted arabic as an optional, that should i opt it, as i have a little knowledge of Quranic arabic, is this one related to that. i mean will there be some translations, or any person like me who has a backgroung of english, can opt it.i am very much anxious about my subject selection,, as this is going to be my last attempt and i want to change muslim law and journalism with arabic.
comments of those giving sincere advice will be highly appreciated.

although i did not opt for arabic,i want to suggest you not to go for arabic as u dont have a background.u can replace muslim law with some other subject.Arabic has proved to be a nightmare for those who did not have a background.and most of them have replaced arabic in their next attempt.this is what i learnt from my seniors.

Regards

Well I would not second with Silent Volcano. I know three guys who are now CSP officers who opted Arabic. One stood 9th in CSS2008 named Kamran and other 39th named Ahsan Saifullah. Both were engineers and had no background of Arabic. They succeeded to score 130 plus in Arabic. I myself have opted Arabic and expecting 125 plus in that.

Arabic is a subject in which little technique is involved and that meticulous approach can fetch excellent scores. They why not Arabic. 60 marks in each Arabic 1 and Arabic 2 paper is to be attempted in English or Urdu. Its up to you. But usually it is suggested to attempt in English. 20 marks in both papers are consisting of objective portion in the form of M.C.Q. If you solved the MCQs of past papers, you are in a position to solve at least 16 to 18 MCQs in both papers. So these 20 marks are also secured.

In Arabic 1, you have to attempt only one question that is of short questions. These short questions repeat mostly. These short questions are 32 in number which repeat in the past papers. Here you have to do cramming.

In Arabic 2, again there asked only one question in Arabic. It has 2 parts. Part 1 is of 10 marks that is also of short questions and part 2 of 10 marks consists of an essay that is required to be written in Arabic. There are only 3 essays. If you prepared 2 of them by heart. You would surely get 7 plus out of 10 in that. Thats all

There is no definite book. I have prepared notes of Arabic. Its a hard copy. You need just to go through the material. Thats it. I am telling you the technique of how to cope that subject.

Thats it
