Default Please guide:Confused to opt for applied mathematics

i am an aeronautical engineer i have opted for physics and indo pak as my optional subject but still confused to opt for applied mathematics as most of the people do not recommend it due to its risky nature.
Kindly suggest..

If u r good at math n prepare well it can easily give u score round abt 130+ and if do excellent u can score 170+. yes it is risky(because of lengthy syllabus) but scoring too. Mostly, Engg. go 4 this subj.

Before opting it,just have a thorough look on the syllabus of Applied Mathematics.See how many topics you had done in the past plus how much you are interested in its various topics. If you think you can cover it...then go for it.But it doesn't mean that you should not go for it after seeing the whole syllabus or after realizing that you had no acquaintance with many topics. After all...Johann von Neumann said that In mathematics you don't understand things. You just get used to them.

Yup its risky if and only if you had not done it conceptually otherwise it will return you more than you can ever expect.
