Default Is it true?

I recently surfed a web page mentioning the interview of DIG Tariq Jamil

http://www.edupk.com/pow/modules.php...rticle&sid=251

In that interview it was written that

"There are three entry-levels for Police. For a constable the requirement is Matriculation, whereas for an Assistant Sub-Inspector or ASI, the requirement is Intermediate and for the ASP it’s Graduation. ASPs are inducted through CSS examinations by the Public Service Commission on merit basis. For ASI the induction is also made through CSS examinations and although the requirement is Intermediate, thousands of Graduates and Post-Graduates are applying for it.

If you want to join the Police Force as ASI or ASP then you will have to pass the CSS exams ................"

For ASI the induction is also made through CSS examinations
Is it True?

No it is not true, only ASPs are inducted through the examination process of CSS.

Omer will become famous soon enough
Arrow

Its total wrong.
CSS is conducted only for the posts of 17 grade.
In PSP only ASPs are appointed through CSS ........though throgh some sources on this forum it's heard that DSPs (grade 17) will be appointed through provincial exams.I think , it is also a wrong information.

Thanks for all of your's comments/Information.

Despite of the fact I know CSS exam is for BPS-17 Scale post (i.e ASP etc).
My aim was to point out the misinformation provided on the web and also relating it to a Senior Police Official.

ASP's Scale is BPS-17 and that of an ASI is no where near BPS-17.
I am not sure of the Scale of an ASI, please do mention it, if some one among you know it.
