Sir u do not need to remember a large number of data, quotes and material etc..
Eds.. Select one book and study from it.. if u have science background go for Encyclopedia of eds.. if u dont have science background go for Kashmiri's book.. study the topics from syllabus.. if u want to be precised and specific than make ur guess paper from past papers.. Current affairs.. Make ur knowledge healthy by newspaper (any 1, preferably Dawn) and see the nature of past papers.. try to make ur hypothesis regarding questions expected to appear and make ur notes in points.. Thats it.. |

Salam
i will second the suggestion of sir mehrankhan. For beginners Kashmiri is the best book. Moreover buy a book that contains all the solved past papers. EDS-2009 was an exceptionally tough paper and 2010 paper was a bit better. On the whole solve all past papers and leave room for some questions which will be out of course or only candidates from a specific background can answer. Obviously paying too much time on studying genetics, receptors or biology section will be too tedious and time-consuming. hope this answers the query. Study dawn, and some current affairs digest. Thank you for reading.

my 2011 paper went very well Allhamdullilah becoz i used only dawn and occasionally read Time magazine from library.. they are more than enough.. Time, newsweek, cover international topics brilliantly.. bundle of knowledge lies in them,, U dont have to read entire magazine.. just the selected topics which uthink might appear in exams..!! |

Dear achieving sufficient knowledge for CA is something fundamental, but problem occurs when it comes to representation of such knowledge in paper. I personally know a number of candidates who are eloquent while discussing current issues, but their result always manifested pathetic marking. To achieve high marks in paper demands a TO-THE-POINT and BRIEF approach. We always have an outline of answer in the question so, one should ponder over it and extract what examiner wants to ask in actuality. Any irrelevant material will not award marks for sure.
