Thumbs up as much u understand u get richer in thoughts.

As far as i think, u need to gather some mature material than just bookish knowledge. the more u know da past and early scenario, struggles of human for civillization, struggles of modern man, then diplomatic issues will show u a very dfrnt view..
more u know of world, more u understand!
ALLAH bless u!

My pursuit of CSS has been quite often hindered by various responsibilities.
I studies in bits and pieces for two months initially but could focus no more till I joined my friends in Lahore for the last two months only.
I have learnt a lot from my personal experience since I was always deprived of the benign guidance of the ones who had qualified.
I will share what needs to be done.
For the last three months, you need to pay at least 10 hours to your preparation.
You have to bifurcate the timing in such a manner as to keep 3 subjects on daily basis and one alternating.
Give 1 hour to English Composition, 1 hour to EDS, 1 hour to Current Affairs. Along with this, you need to give the rest of the time to one major subject. e.g. Pakistan Affairs. Change the major subject as soon as it finishes but consistently stick to the ones you have been doing on daily basis.
And do keep the following tip in mind which will enable you revise your course even more than 15 times prior to the commencement of your exam.

Memory 2 types ki hoti hai. pata hai na?
1. Active memory
2. Passive memory
Whatever we revise is stored in our active memory while what we have forgotten is stored in our passive memory.
Ek CSP officer koi jin nahi hota ke wo CSS clear kar jaye ya prominent position le. Too many revisions have helped them memorize lots of things.
Firstly, make bullet notes of your topics.
Suppose you prepare topic # 1 first day in 2 hours.
Next day, before starting topic # 2. give just 10 minutes and normally revise topic # 1 and then start topic # 2
And then the next day, before starting topic # 3. give just 5 minutes and normally revise topic # 1 and 10 minutes for topic # 2 and then start topic # 3
The next day, the older the topic gets, the lesser number of minutes will be required for your revision
You will see that you will be revising your topic in 1 minute only since it develops it creates pictorial memory
Believe me, aap ko ye bhi yaad hoga ke kis topic ke kis page ke kon si headings hain
It will work wonders for you.
Iss tarah aap ki more than 15 revisions ho jayen gi
I hope i don't exaggerate but aap just topic ka naam sun ke ye bata saken gi ke iss ke pehle words kya hain or last or middle ke kya.
Excellent Tips. I am just curious to know how well were you able to materialize them, I mean what happened of your DMC? If it isn't of much trouble, kindly share your DMC with all of us.

Dear dua, it is but true that sometimes we feel that we are doing the right and we just keep up working in the same manner, without the correct judgement of requirements we need to have for our success. A glance at your marks in different subjects is clearly expressing that you do lack a proper guidance, because you have said that while preparing for first attempt you used to study 10 to 12 hours a day. This is integrally sufficient time which could possibly be given to any sort of preparation. The problem, I think, which you had to face was to utilize that time in right direction.
I did not attempt css yet and had been preparing for this cause for about a year. I was quite content upon my preparations, but believe me when joined an academy last month I came to know that still there were a lot of thinks regarding preparation which I did not know about.
Your profile status is showing that while preparing for your first attempt you did use this site very little. Now what you should do, according to me, is that: you must share your material here, so that you may come to know about the deficiencies and incorrectness in your written thoughts. Thereby you will be able to gather a lot of information and subsequently a new material for your topics. It is equally important to have a guidance along with your own efforts and determination. And one important thing to note is this that css requires us to generate our own standpoints on various issues, so just enhance your own thinking capabilities and observational skills instead of being totally rely upon books.
Pay much focus on your written skills, the era which we are living in is global age, internet and many other facilities made it so easy to access the informative stuff but to keep that stuff in mind and set it on paper is required.

Allah may succeed you..

You have a lot of time to prepare for the next attempt. I am of the opinion that it is a good sign for you that you have realized the point that hindered you from your success. I am giving you a suggestion to avoid the 'OVER CONFIDENCE'. Just feel all the time that what you know is common but what others know is something special. Believe me, this will eradicate over confidence from you and help in burning a zeal inside you that will infuse you with the never-ending love of knowledge.
There should not be misconception that thinking personal knowledge as common will make you fell yourself inferior, rather it enlightens the thoughts and rectify attitudinal and ethical status of a person..
This is something which I personally think so if I am at mistake plz educate me..

Dear Bro.
I was unable to qualify the written portion since I flunked in the General Knowledge paper by 13 marks.
Apart from that, all the tips I share here have been the ones I have personally experienced.
I hereby quote that I have been very unlucky regarding proper and right guidance from my seniors and teachers.
The tips I learnt were too late when I realized as to what was needed to be done.
I have experienced the pain of lack of guidance or even the experience of misguidance. Therefore, I try to share the tips so that other might not go through what I did.
Mu dms is,
Essay 40
English 45
General Knowledge 107
Islamiat 42
Islamic History 117
Arabic 98
Journalism 52
Pashto 53
