Means after 9 months u actually join your concerned department for job functions?

No.You have to undergo STP after that,which is a further 10 months.
CTP this time is expected to be 6 months long.

sir hamza r u sure ??? though 38ctp was 6 months ...but for 39ctp till now sab sy 9 months hi suna hy ....

What does happen to those who fail in CTP?
Are they dropped out?

They are required to repeat the subject they have failed,or in extreme cases,repeat the CTP..Don't worry,passing the CTP isn't much of a hassle
