hi all colleagues thnks for your posts , this success helped me to regain my confidence, there are many questions in our mind about information group n we need seniors help

hi.many congratulations on your brilliant success.as a senior,i tell u that u must be proud of your achievement.now,afterall u r a part of the chosen ones who are especially blessed by the Almighty.as far as the information group is concerned,u will find it a treasure of exposure and dynamism.i always believe that u can never comare groups as each group has its own advantages and disadvantages as well.u will soon come 2 know certain features of the group that render it unique.best of luck.

Hi dears,

im not that senior in the forum but i think iv heard few things from seniors about such things. my words will not be based on surety but rather what i heard from others. i hope all of us will know about our groups after STP ends. at the moment i just know about yr grup that u'll be appointed information officer in any federal dept in 17 after having spent a year or so in islamabad in Ministry of information. Later on u could be deputed in any department which has an information wing. u can also be deputed as information officer with some VIP or VVIP or lets say with some Federal Minister, most probable with Information Minister under information ministry.

hope u have somewhat knowledge of yr group..

i got the appointment letter, our salary is mentioned 24k plus
thanks to Almighty Allah.

Dear Aqdas Shoukat,

You have misunderstood the pay written in the appointment letter.

The pay is written as (Rs.9850-740-24650),
It can be written as

Rs. 9850 : the initial basic pay of BS-17, without any allowances.

Rs. 740 : Annual increment. After every year, our basic pay will be increased by an incerement of 740.

Rs 24650 : The maximum basic pay, taken by a BS-17 officer. Means after every year, the basic pay will increase by an increment of 740. Then a time will come, basic pay will reach at 24650. There will be no increase after that.
Most of the time, this situation does not appear, because the officer promotes to next grade in 4 or 5 year and gets the new basic initial pay of BS-18.

But dont lose heart, 9850 is the basic pay, allowances in the basic pay makes pay handsome. (During CTP, you will get only basic pay, no any allowance)
