Secondly,I need your guidance regarding FSP.I'm getting crazy for it day by day ! Was it your first preference or you got it by luck ?
If it was your top preference then what you were asked by panel regarding FSP ?How did you justify it ?

it was my second preference..the interview panel did not ask me to justify my first preference which was DMG. but they did ask me why i hadnt opted for FSP as my first choice because according to them i should have listed that as my first preference instead.

o..yes of course..sorry! accha..essay writing is basically gauging a candidate on two things..firstly..the quality of the language used..and secondly..the quality of subject matter and its relevance to the topic at hand.

now, as far as the quality of subject matter is concerned..our current affairs preparation should be able to see us through..because in the course of extensive readings on politics and world economies and current issues etc we can argue a particular topic and support it with examples..at least we should be able to.

the major hurdle is, really, the quality of the language used..its correctness..maturity of logically developing an argument..relevance..and all this without any repetition.

for this there is no easy route out..except..a lot of practise. other than that..what really helps is a well developed and a well thought out outline of the essay..not only does this outline carry marks..but it gives the writer the focus that is required whenever a person is writing for a prolonged period of time..especially under exam conditions..

because writing for three straight hours can easily let a person get carried away with a particular line of arguments..or it can lead to repetition..coz we may forget what we ve written earlier..or it can lead to an abrupt or an absurd conclusion.

therefore..spend time planning your essay..each paragraph should be thought out in advance..the stance at the start should be clear..then that stance should be supported by logical arguments and examples (this will make up the bulk of your essay) and finally you should reach a well reasoned conclusion which ties up the whole essay very neatly into a particular stance..that you set out to establish from the very beginning. this will bring clarity to your entire exposition.
