Default Authority

which post has more authority??

1. DG FC or

2. DG FIA (PSP) or

3. IG POLICE (PSP) or

4. DG RANGERS

and also tell that why police is so powerful in punjab and sindh , in a recent incedent they arrested rangers in punjab but what we see in balochistan that balochistan police is powerless in front of FC....... ,,,,, so this confuses that which of the above posts have more authority????/.......

Dear DG FIA having more authority in my views because it is a federal department whereas IG is the authority of province

Post Ig police is more powerful

IG Police is far more powerful than DG Rangers. Rangers/FC is only a paramilitary force that works in aid of Police/civil authorities. In fact, Rangers is operationally subordinate to District Magistrate/DC/DCO and police high ups while working in districts/divisions.
IG Police is also superior to DG Rangers/IG FC in rank. IG Police is normally a BPS-22 officer of PSP group equivalent to Lt.Gen of army whereas DG Rangers/IG FC is a major general.
So there is no comparison between police and rangers/FC. As far as your query about the role of FC in Balochistan is concerned, it is allegedly a subversive role which doesn't come in the official purview of FC so I don't want to comment on it. Legally too, Police is much more powerful than any paramilitary force.
IG of any province and DG FIA are different posts so there can't be any comparison between them. Both of these are indeed good posts.
Unfortunately, in our country bureaucrats/police officials are regularly intimidated by politicians so these posts seem to be less charming in practical arena. However, practically too there is no match between police and rangers/FC.

DG FIA is a much more powerful post. Just to give you an idea, spend a day with AD FIA (Economic Crime Wing) and ASP of your local area. You will get to know the difference in power/PR/Contacts. Similarly as someone else said above, FIA is federal 'police' with jurisdiction all over the country. Director FIA Lahore wont need permission from Director Karachi to arrest someone in karachi. A SSP Lahore on the other hand would request SSP karachi to arrest someone and will have to follow proper procedure etc. Also police usually deals with lowest strata of criminals such as murderers/kidnappers/rapists etc while FIA deals with white collar crimes. A typical AD FIA would be investigating cases against MNAs/MPAs/Directors of Federal and provincial organizations/bank managers and presidents etc
