Default Deferment of CTP
Salam All respected members.....
i want to know that for how long a finally selected/allocated person can defer his/her joining to CTP?
please reply with some reference/authority or tell the concerned department from where i can get the relevant information.

Once you are allocated to certain group, you write a letter to your parent ministry and Civil Services Academy for deferment of CTP. CTP may be deferred for 1 year but in some rare cases it has been deferred upto 3 years. Deferment is granted in case of a genuine reason; candidate is ill, is abroad for studies, has to avail CSS attempt in next year etc. Offer may lapse if the candidates doesn't join after expiry of deferment period.

Thanks Usman Khalid bro. i wana tell u that im serving in bs 17. and i have signed a bond to serve my dpt for at least 5 yrs. but aftr 5 yrs i ll b overage due to bar of age limit f css.
now in my case, if i appear and get selected i ll hv to complete my 5 yrs. so the only option which will be left for me is to defer my ctp for 3 years.................... is it a genuine reason i.e. to complete the first service bond/contract ??????????????

Dear, I am not sure whether it will be considered as genuine reason or not. I think you may get it deferred upto one year but I am not sure whether 3 year deferment may be granted or not.

Are you sure next attempt and illness are considered as genuine reasons? Thanks a lot for the precious piece of advice. It was a really resourceful information
