Any pay protection mechanism for in-service, newly inducted CSPs?
Hi Senior's
Do the newly inducted CSPs get pay protection in terms of earlier increments they have received from the departments they are going to resign? if a person has applied through proper channels and fulfilled all the codal formalities before applying for CE, would he be entertained with the earlier increments in the salary which he would be receiving while joining CSA? Please guide regards |

As per Govt Rules, Pay of a Civil Servant can not be fixed at a stage lower than that of his earlier i.e Pay is fixed such that to extend a financial benefit to the servant and in no case pay of a servant can be fixed at a lower stage. If you know your basic pay, then your Pay Fixation will be as under:- Your Current Pay (In any Pay Scale) + One Increment of The Scale in which You have been Appointed / Promoted recently (in which your pay is to be fixed) Now after having a Answer, find the Next Above Stage on the Pay Chart, that will your new Pay For Example You are in BS-16 now and your Basic Pay is Rs 8000 And you have been Appointed in BS-17 You will add Your Current Pay i.e 8000 + 1200 (Increment of BS-17, in which your pay is to be fixed) Now 8000+1200=9200 Now Find the Pay stage equal to or above 9200. But as the Initial Basic of BS-17 is 16000 which is far more than 9200. So your Pay will be 16000. Say you are in BS-17 and your Pay is 18000 You have been appointed in another Group in BS-17 You will add 18000+1200 (Increment of BS-17) = 19200 Now search for the figure equal to or above 19200 in BS-17 line of Pay Chart. Say one stage is 19500 & higher than that is 20700, then your pay will be fixed at 19500. Whether you applied through proper channel or not, Pay will be protected. |

Pay is fixed as per the LPC of the previous department.
