After having been allocated to any group as a result of qualifying CSS exams, the successful candidate has to attend two training sessions: CTP and STP.
The former stands for Common Training Program and the latter does for Special Training Program. All successful candidates irrespective of their groups have to undergo CTP at Civil Services Academy, Lahore. After CTP, the candidates join training session, STP, with respect to their departments i.e. those of DMG will join DMG training campus at Lahore, those of Police will join National Police Academy at Islamabad and so on.
CSS exams are conducted annually by Federal Public Service Commission. Graduation at least in second division is the basic requirement to appear in the exam. For more info, CSSFORUM.COM.PK and fpsc.gov.pk are useful sites.
