Default The reality of foreign postings

Hello. I have a question for respected seniors that we all aspirants especially for fsp do cherish the dream of a life and career in some developed country especially the west and it truly feels good to have a career abroad. But I would like to ask you that is it really that much an overwhelming career that one gets ready to stay away from the people land society and food of his homeland ? Are foreign societies and life able to keep people involved at a different land or after some time of enjoying the society cleanliness and food of the foreign place he begins to feel lonely and unfit working in an alien society on his own. I would like the clarity and gap reduction between reality and imaginative attraction

Well I'm not senior but here's my response. People travel to other countries just to earn livelihood i.e. labors working in UAE for 1200-1500 AED. So living away from home, people and food isn't that difficult when you are in a better and influential position, earning good money and have great respect in society. You get the chance to visit home often. I don't see anyone refusing the service merely on the grounds of living away from home, unless he or she is very sensitive about it. Moreover, what I have seen in movies/dramas and FB profiles of few foreign officers is that the culture of embassy is similar to home culture so there shouldn't be any issue of food etc as well.
