Default Fsp stats!?
Hey guys. Like many of you people, i'm passionate about css aswell. I have to confess foreign service is the reason for my attraction to the whole thing. I'm still doing my alevels so i've got loads of time. I'm planning on starting my preparation from alevels so i'll have more time to prepare.
Anyways, i want some help. I've asked this before but couldn't get a clear answer. So here goes:

1. How much do new officers in foreign service earn? I'm talking about officers fresh out of their training academy. How much is the starting salary plus their perks?
I've read in a a thread of this very forum that they get only rs.10000? =/

2. Can you please explain the grading system in foreign service? From grade 17 officer to ambassoder!

BY the time you enter foreign service, the stats might be different.
At foreign service academy your basic pay is 16000 rs. But with a few allowances you draw a total of 29000 Rs during your training. When you join the ministry , you get more allowances, I haven't joined the ministry yet, But my safe guess is 35000 Rs.
The Grading system is similar to other services but comparatively slow in foreign service. you become an Ambassador in grade 20-21.

Rabel, if you ever find out what salary an ambassador takes when in another country, please do inform this board. This has been a mystery since forever. Thanks

hi i want to go for this job but i dont know which group i should select that does not involve maths , accounting or economics and other subjects like this in stp and ctp and is also good for girls plz help

i think u are a commerce student like me who is scarred from accounting,maths and economics well there are so many optional subjects u can chose of ur own interest but remember the sum of those subjects should be 600..for more go to css optional subjects

I'm also studying alevels currently and would like to start my prep right NOW. If you live in Lahore, is it possible if we could meet up? Even though this is a 4 years old post I still believe you might be interested.
