Why is omg group opted rarely?
As omg group has a good quota in high grades,the omg officers enjoy central secretariat with lot of power why people opt it rarely.

Two basic reasons:
1- Because as they have to compete with DMG group for lucrative postings, they rarely get key posts in the provincial or federal secretariats.
2- They do not get the field postings as DMG officers do.

Its true that we can not compare omg with DMG but according my own experience secretariat job is better than an audit,income tax etc i have seen that an accounts group officer dont want to go return to AG ofice after completing of deputation in finance deptt nwfp.But still omg is opting rare than these group.

Dear friends
each group has its own pros and cons.Now we have come to know why OMG'"s induction through css is stopped after every 10 years.Now a days it is the fastest promotion group with three DCOs in sind and many EDOs plus key posts in all the provincial secretariats.So, enjoy juniors.You will have oppotunities for growth mora than any other group.Yes DMg is powerful beacause of its legacy but you will have much more what you heard of OMG and believe me as we have met a lot of seniors as they hosted a dinner for us in Islamabad club.
