For Quite few days, I am really disappointed by the participants on this forum!

The reason is that when they start analyzing an issue, they start with a "emotional speech" and that too so loudly that it becomes almost impossible to hide their ethnic/political inclinations. I assume that a CSS aspirant should be an exception to such an attitude. The analysis of a CSS apsirant should ground on merit rather then ethnic/political inclinations.

To me "commissioner's system" was designed by the "Britishers to Rule" a hostile population. In that system the commissioner was all-in-all for the area designated. The system is obsolete and try to alienate masses from the person who is supposed to be their servant. If any one/every one on this thread is cursing MQM for the removal of this system, he/they should note this.

By the way we always curse Bureaucracy for its whims and designs to steal public freedom, but when it comes to devolution or Nazims we start supporting bureaucracy. If you want a civil servant that is educated but is just not interested in going a step ahead of what is enlisted as his duty, then go ahead to support this system.

Is't it a hypocrisy?? Yes it is and we are hypocrites at par when it comes to serving out self for we are going to be CSPs!

I would request the PM and President to remove commissioner system throughout Pakistan (if any where else it is functional), not just in Karachi. And for corruption, there is no holy cow in Pakistan, Let it be Nawaz Sharif, Zardari, Wali Khan or any one else incl. Altaf Sb.

That's what we call pure ignorance. Go and read the history of civil service of British India and the history of Indian Civil Service (ICS). Commissioner system that is now promulgated in Sindh and elsewhere is the not the one designed by Britishers. During the days of British government, DCs were given enormous judicial and municipal powers along with constitutional safeguards but now most of these powers are vested with Sesion judges and Mayors (According to LGS 1979). Also, commissioners are not all in all in their areas. Actually they are the servants of provincial government and work in close collaboration with City Mayors thus serving as a vital link between District and provincial governments.

Go and request your leader to solve the problems of people of Pakistan instead of poking their nose in the politics of Karachi.

If you are not satisfied with these arguments then i can give you my personal cell number to discuss everything in detail. I am an ex-provincial civil servant so i know these things in practice.

@All

We should avoid arguing with each other in rough tone. Politicians of all parties are of same nature and only see their personal ulterior motives rather looking at the pathetic deteriorating condition of poor masses.

I salute to those who originated the sentence "Mulk ke wasee ter mufaad mein". Some day in near future or after few months we all will see Politicians of PPP who were jumping with joy distributing sweets over restoration of Commissionerate System will start saying that this system is going to be packed up in the Wasi ter mufaad of the people of Sindh..

MQM after all these moves of leaving and than joining Govt. has showed its mettle and from now onwards nobody will have this courage to say NO to the dictates of MQM. Otherwise they not only say good bye to Govt. but also start killing people from very next hour and no Govt. will see the biggest hub of Trade i.e Karachi getting disturbed. The whole economic engine sees Karachi for Revenue generation activities.

Woh Benazir Bhutto ka waqt gaya jab principles per operations keye jaate the aur hukumat se alag hua jata tha, Dosto ab Zardari daur hai, ager kisi party ke Pas Assemblies aur Senate mein seats hain uski her baat maani jayegi. Everybody knows MQM is a reality and will win even greater Number of seats in next elections through force, bulkey darane dhamkane ke time guzer gaya ab to seedhi goli chalti hai. Nobody in Sindh dares to oppose MQM.

Enough is enough ! MQM has been threatening and blackmailing the government for the last three years now. Time and again we become the victim of the most ferocious killing spree in the name of “coalition politics of MQM-PPP= mil ke khao”. Everyone in Sindh knows why MQM opposes Commissioner system, just to keep its own hegemony over Karachi at the cost of all the other majority parties. Mr.Abro i cant understand why you suppport MQM's stance???
Ary baba ,why would i advocate MQM?

I just said that whatever govt is doing in Sindh,is for the maintaining peace in Karachi.

There has been the coalition govt in Sindh, we havent seen a single peaceful day in the largetst city of the country. I dont think the current steps, taken by the sindh govt on the directives of the president, will work out and bring good news for the greived citizens. Infact, both parties have lost the credibility totally. There is no politcs of principles, but of PAISA PAISA PAISA and POWER POWER POWER.

At first we are not talking about any particular ethinic group but about a political party (MQM).i think it is right of every citizen to criticize the wrong acts of parties.when we can criticize PPP why not MQM???

you should not say that whatever we are saying it is because we feel entertained by innocent killings in karachi. Karachi is our city and we are as much worried about peace in the city as anyone else thats why we are talking about it.

Do you really feel that this step is for restoring peace in karachi:unsure: since when politicians have began to work for the welfare and safety of masses:waiting

we don't believe MQM as true representative of peace-loving people of karachi.

and we are already above any bias against any community. i think our criticism of any political party should not be taken against any community.

and yes we should not be affiliated with any party for national peace and prosperity so we are not:D

This is what we call 'blackmailing' to achieve political and personal gains..
There is another very good solution to solve this problem..Exterminate MQM and everyone associated with it..We need some tough decisions and a tough man like Naseer ullah Babur..army se koi kam karwana hi he te ye karwayein..we are bending down to the whims of a group proven to be a traitor..
