can a PAAS officer be a EO F and p in any district. when he reached in 19 bs.

Yes, a PAAS officer can be EDO (F&P) in 17, 18 or 19, depending upon the size of the district. The relevant provincial govt has to request the auditor general's office to transfer the officer to the prov govt first and then the prov govt appoints him as EDO (F&P).

Dear nauman thnx

but as for as my knowledge is concern the scale of edo f&p is bps-19 but alot of officers are deputed in districts that scale is i thnk 18. M i right.


Sir may u tell me that what is the initial post of (paas) officer.

Yes PAAS officers are easily appointed in provincial finance department. Two Grade- 18 people I know are working as D.O & EDO Finance since last two years. They can be Additional or full Secretary in above grades. Their financial powers are high and enjoying their duties. I meet with them and they said its easy to come in provinces because they are technical people and their demand is high. They can go back to military or railway accounts after few years because they have already served in railway accounts for three years.They are enjoying their life in all roles in provinces and in other departments.

Question PAAS officers as DAO
Respected seniors specially sir nauman please clear onething.wether Paas officers are working or may work as district accounts officers or not?and is it charming for paas officers?

yes. PAAS can be posted as DAO while they are in grade-17. they cant be DAO as soon as they are promoted to grade-18 because only grade-17 officers can be DAO.

it should also be noted that PAAS serve for very short time on this post because their promotions are rapid.

initial post depends upon the department/organisation concerned. if paas are posted at accountant general offices, their post is AAG(assistant accountant general).

Recently PPSC advertised posts of Dy DAO in BPS-17.if Dy DAO in 17 then his boss should be in 18 scale atleast.what do you think?
