Post Details of STP & Facilities at Old Customs House
STP of 40th CTP have been started in the majestic,historical and a century old building of Old Customs House Karachi. There are five probationers. Approximate duration is 10 months. New batch has been accommodated in the newly built and fully furnished hostel inside old customs house. Probationers will enjoy all modern facilities during stay of STP as new rooms are provided with AC,PC,LCD TV,Internet Connection etc. Facility of vehicle along with driver is there along with driver.Facilities for in door and outdoor games are there. A new gymnasium inside the hostel is also near completion.

Smile Regional And International Exposure During STP
During the STP of Customs in Karachi, probationers get a chance of regional and international exposure and trainings. Different types of training module are conducted in which not only Pakistan Customs but also the officers of other countries of the region participate.

UNODC, UNEP, WTO, WCO, US Department of Homeland Security, Australian Customs and many other international organizations and countries frequently conduct the short trainings courses and modules for Customs Officers and probationers in order to help them in performing their anti smuggling, anti narcotics, trade facilitation and many other functions in a better manner.

Dear you are also a commoner now so you can draw this comparison for you in a way better than me because FSP is not simply a job its completely different lifestyle and if you have aptitude for it then FSP you must write it at the top.If you want afsari then Customs otherwise FSP. Rest you know all about both groups.Thats why Customs was my 3rd preference like all my other customs batchmates....

Customs is my 2nd choice after PAS.

Many people say that as customs officials regularly do snap checking of consignments for illegal goods, and so deal with influential 'criminals' hence they label customs as a full of 'tension' career as one has to confiscate goods and deal with law enforcement agencies. To what extent is that or is not true. Can you comment on this.

I want to ask that double pay that is given to FBR officials, is it given right from Grade 17 or from higher grades? and if in some stations if accommodation is not provided then how do customs officials manage in that case?. Curious to know.
